BSEE replaces API RP 86 with a newer flow measurement guide

The agency is removing API, the American Petroleum Institute, RP 86 and replacing it with API MPMS Chapter 20.3 after saying the older reference had been superseded.
That change may sound small, but it matters in the place where compliance meets the meter. Offshore operators and the teams that track production rely on incorporated standards like these to measure output and document that they are following the federal requirements that govern offshore work.
The newer yardstick
